JLA

Students in JLA have been continuing their exciting project work from last term, creating detailed dioramas to represent a chosen season. Each student selected a season to focus on and has been carefully designing their diorama to show what makes that time of year special from blossoming spring gardens to frosty winter scenes.
To extend their learning, the students have been preparing and presenting their own weather reports to match their chosen season. Using iPads, they have written scripts, taken photos, and recorded themselves delivering their reports like real meteorologists.
A highlight of this project has been the use of the green screen, which has allowed students to place themselves inside their own dioramas! This creative use of technology has made it look as though they are standing right in their miniature seasonal worlds.
The children have had so much fun combining art, science, and digital technology, while also developing their speaking and presentation skills. It’s been a fantastic, hands-on way for them to explore the changing seasons and bring their learning to life.
