Prayer for Children Beginning School
Loving God,
We thank You for the gift of our children,
for their curiosity, energy, and joy.
As they prepare to begin their school journey,
we ask You to bless and protect them each day.
Guide them in their faith, Lord,
so they may always know Your love and presence.
Help them to grow strong and resilient—
to face challenges with courage,
and to never be afraid of what life holds for them.
Be with their parents too, Lord.
Grant them patience, wisdom, and gentleness
as they walk beside their children
through the tough times and the joyous times.
May they be shining examples of love and faith,
and always find comfort in knowing
that You are watching over their family.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Dear St Michael’s School families,
SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION
We take this opportunity to extend our best wishes to our Year 6 students as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Wednesday 29th October.
Last week, the students spent time in thoughtful reflection, deepening their understanding of the meaning and sacredness of this important step in their faith journey. Next week, we are honoured to welcome Bishop Les Tomlinson, who will join us to confirm our children. This is a truly special occasion in the lives of our students and their families, and we look forward to celebrating together as a faith community.
ST MICHAEL'S NEW-LOOK WEBSITE
We’re excited to share that our school website has a brand-new look! The refreshed design showcases vibrant new photos that capture the spirit of our students and the life of our school community.
The updated site is easier to navigate and includes many useful links for both current and prospective families. Parents can continue to access key information such as term dates, newsletters, policies, and upcoming events quickly and easily. Prospective families will also find everything they need to learn more about our wonderful school and the opportunities we offer.
We invite everyone to take a moment to explore the new website and see the beautiful images and helpful features that reflect the warmth and vibrancy of our school.
A big thank you to everyone who contributed their time and ideas to help bring this project to life!

TWILIGHT SPORTS
Thank you all for your patience and understanding as we navigate the challenges of scheduling our Twilight Sports event! Given yesterday's amount of rain and wind gusts, we believe postponing this event was definitely the safest decision for all!
We have rescheduled this event for Wednesday 19th November and again ask parents if you are available to assist on this day we would greatly appreciate it. An Operoo notice will be sent shortly for you to respond. As we are already aware, Warner Reserve will be under construction during this time so we will hold the Twilight Sports on school grounds. More details to come.
P.F.A. SOCIAL FUNDRAISER
A wonderful evening was shared at last week's Parents and Friends Social Woodstock Fundraiser!! The atmosphere was filled with laughter, music, and great conversation as parents and friends came together to celebrate our school community.
The event was not only a fantastic opportunity to connect and enjoy each other’s company but also a meaningful way to support our students. Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of everyone who attended, we raised valuable funds that will go towards upgrading our school play spaces—ensuring our children have safe, engaging, and imaginative areas to play and grow.
A huge thank you to our dedicated Parents and Friends Association for their hard work in planning and organising such a successful evening. Your efforts continue to make a real difference in the life of our school.
We are so grateful to everyone who came along, contributed, and helped make the night such a joyful celebration of community spirit!
