Principal's Report

Tim Furphy, Principal

It feels crazy to be writing this before the long weekend in November, where has the time gone? Tomorrow on the last Friday in October we celebrate World Teachers Day and the amazing things the crew at NPS do. From me, I'd like to acknowledge the immense amount of work, dedication and enthusiasm dislayed from the team each and every day. I've said it before, but we really are lucky to have these incredible people in our classrooms.

At assembly students were reminded to keep care of their belongings (particularly jumpers and jackets) that are being left outside at recess and lunch. One of our values is responsibility, we can show this by looking after our things. I ask that you please continue this conversation with students at home to ensure things are well looked after.

Coming up over the start of November we have Curriculum Day Monday 3rd, F/1 Disco and Sleepover Friday 7th, Bike Ed excursion Monday 10th,  and G6 transition excursion to St Ambrose (Woodend).

BIKE ED

A permission slip has been sent out on Compass for Bike Ed this term, with a whole school excursion to Bike Skills in Bentleigh on November 10th. We heard the challenges of arranging bike pick up/drop off over consecutive weeks, this takes the stress completely away. They have all the equipment we need, so you don't have to bring a thing (except a snack, drink bottle and lunch). Please be ready to jump on the bus at 8:15am to allow time to cross the city in busy traffic.

FREE TO GOOD HOME

LAST CHANCE - Please see below scrap metal and wood pallets to be taken by any of our community.  Pallets are behind the skip in the carpark,  metal is behind the sports shed (access via oval). First in best dressed!
