What's Happening In Primary

Term 1

What an incredible start to the year! As you walk around our Primary spaces, it is evident that our students have spent this term learning, growing and getting to know one another. Students and staff have created displays around the school showcasing some of these learnings, including families, God's creation, shared stories of God's faithfulness and the special promises that we can trust.

As we step into the holidays and the Easter season, may we be reminded of what Jesus has done for each of us. During assemblies, classes, and the whole school Easter service, students and the DCS community will be encouraged to reflect on the Cross and what it means to each of us.

Year 3/4 Learn to Swim Student Reflections

 Over the past week it has been the Year 3/4's turn to make a splash in the pool. 

• Lily: Learn to Swim is fun. I practiced diving and found things in the bottom of the pool.

• Dorothy: I liked being in a group with my friends. We learnt how to do the survival drop.

• Hudson W: I am in the golden group and I learnt how to do breaststroke. It was fun to pretend I was a frog. I liked being in the pool with my friends.

• Jett: I have learned how to get better at breaststroke. We got to practice the 'safety jump.' This is different to the survival drop. The safety jump prevents you from dropping too far below the water if you need to jump off something high.

• Mia B: I have enjoyed learning how to swim better and I'm progressing more and more.

• Polly: I have really enjoyed doing backstroke and improving my freestyle.

• Asha: I like doing swimming all together. I have liked improving my skills.

• Sebastian: I like doing swimming, it's fun. I got to practice backstroke.

Worship Wednesday on Pause

As a school we are excited to welcome all families to our Primary Assemblies each Monday, Wednesday and Friday. 

We wish to advise that Worship Wednesday will be on pause for the first day of term on Wednesday 30th April.
