Connecting with Construction Skills Queensland

Marist College Ashgrove recently celebrated a significant milestone by partnering with Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) as a Construction Pathways School Partner. This partnership was formally recognised during the college assembly, where Mr. Newman received a commemorative plaque.

The collaboration with CSQ aims to provide students with valuable access to practical experiences, industry events, and vital career connections within the growing construction sector. As part of this initiative, students will engage in discussions with industry leaders to understand the skills and attributes sought after by employers in the field.

Additionally, students will have the opportunity to participate in a tour of a local building site. For Year 12 students interested in pursuing a career in construction after graduation, there will be a "try-a-trade" event, allowing them to explore and experience various trades hands-on. This partnership reflects the college's commitment to facilitating real-world career pathways for its students.
