CoRE Program

This term we had the privilege of participating in the CoRE Blue Light Program.

The CoRE (Connected, Resilience, Engaged) is a unique partnership between local police, community and schools.  It is designed to build positive relationships between young people and law enforcement while fostering essential life skills such a teamwork, leadership, problem solving and resilience.

Through engaging activities, hands on challenged and mentorship our student have gained valuable insights into making positive life choices. The program encourages them to step out of their comfort zones, work collaboratively and develop confidence in themselves and their abilities.

One of the most rewarding aspects has been the connection students have built with local police officers breaking down barriers and strengthening trust within our community.

The CoRE program has been an incredible journey of personal growth for our students. It has not only provided them with the tools to navigate challenges but has also reinforced the importance of community, respect, and making positive choices.

Students participated in an excursion which included selecting plants and paint from Bunnings then going to Youth Community Services to rejuvenate their planter boxes.  Students enjoyed lunch together after their hard work whilst also having a presentation from Western Bulldogs.
