Learning & Teaching

INCOMPLETE TASK CATCH-UP DAY - 4 APRIL

Students with outstanding work in Term 1 will be asked to remain at the College on Friday, 4 April (student-free day). Families will receive notification individually. Impacted students will be supervised and supported in the CLC (Library).

Students who choose not to attend will be required to meet with House Leaders, a Deputy Principal, and their families in Term 2 to discuss academic progress and support.

PARENT-TEACHER INTERVIEWS

Year 7-12 parent-teacher interviews are fast approaching and are an opportunity to discuss how students progress in different subject areas. It is important that student learning is at the centre of these meetings; as such, they are required to attend. Learning Progress Meetings will be held onsite and online to facilitate maximum participation and flexibility.

We are looking forward to meeting with parents and students during these meetings, which are scheduled for:

  • Thursday, 3 April, 3:30 PM to 8:30 PM - Onsite (College Stadium)
  • Friday, 4 April, 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM - Online (Microsoft Teams)

Letters have been emailed to families with instructions on how to make a booking. Please check your email for this information or contact the college for support.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Thursday, 3 April, we will be running a shortened timetable; students will be dismissed at 2:30 PM
  • Friday, 4 April - Student Free Day and Incomplete Tasks catch-up day for students with outstanding coursework.

IMPORTANCE OF READING

The school holidays are the perfect time to relax and recharge, but they are also a great opportunity to keep young minds active through reading.

Whether it is a favourite novel, a new adventure, or even informative articles, reading helps maintain literacy skills, boosts creativity, and improves focus.

Encourage your child to set aside some quiet reading time each day—at home, in the park, or at the library. A good book can take them anywhere, expand their knowledge, and make the transition back to school smoother.

I encourage each child to borrow a novel from the CLC before the school holidays.

Happy reading!
