As near the end of Term 1 of 2025 I do hope that the start of the year has brought about much joy and learning in our community. I am most grateful for all the assistance and new friendships that have been made so far this year. Many parents have:
- Attended playgroups where children and parents alike have forged new friendships and learning.
- Cooked and served our community on Shrove Tuesday, Parish Sacramental Mass and the Sisters of St Joseph’s Day visit. Many hands make light work.
- SPaR groups in the church this term have been well attended by parents and grandparents who continue to support and share in their child’s faith journey.
- Attended events such as ARTEXPRESS at Hazelhurst Gallery and Stations of the Cross both at Sutherland and school.
- Attended Parent Representative Group meetings to unite our parent community to support the students in each grade.
- Attended Lenten Groups, school and grade Masses, as well as assemblies.
A reminder of some of the family and faith activities for you to engage with during Term 2, 2025:
- PLAY GROUP- Every Friday at 9:20 am in the Lower Parish Centre, all welcome.
- SPaR- for parents to unite and support their child as they grow in faith and love (dates TBA).

Happy Easter
During the holidays I encourage all families to attend the Easter Holy Celebrations to immerse yourselves in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Many Masses are held at various parishes for you to attend, starting at the Miranda Parish this weekend as students from our school bring to life PALM SUNDAY at 10:30 am.
The Easter Triduum follows on with HOLY THURSDAY, GOOD FRIDAY and EASTER SUNDAY.
I wish each of our families a safe, happy and holy Easter break.
Grace Abounds
