Celebrating Diversity and Empowerment

This month, our Community Team had the pleasure of hosting two incredible events that highlighted the power of inclusion, diversity, and empowerment—our International Women’s Day Workshop in collaboration with Girl Chat Organisation and our vibrant Harmony Day celebration.

International Women’s Day Workshop with Girl Chat

On March 5th, we marked International Women’s Day with an inspiring workshop in partnership with Girl Chat, a community-driven initiative that empowers young women through mentorship and open discussions. The workshop focused on breaking barriers, fostering confidence, and embracing womanhood. Students engaged in thought-provoking conversations about gender equality, resilience, and self-empowerment. The session ended with students creating affirmation cards to women in their lives who inspire them. 

Harmony Day: Everyone Belongs

Following the success of our International Women’s Day Workshop, we continued our celebrations of diversity with Harmony Day. This year’s theme, “Everyone Belongs,” resonated deeply with our school community. The event featured a range of cultural performances, Afro Drumming Workshops, and a special ‘50-year’ art activity that encouraged students and teachers to decorate flowers showcasing the beauty of multiculturalism.

Students and staff came together to embrace and appreciate different cultures. The highlight of the day was our cultural performances, where students proudly represented their heritage, sharing traditional dances.

Events like these remind us of the importance of unity, respect, and cultural appreciation, fostering a school environment where everyone feels valued and included.
