ANZAC Day Appeal 

ANZAC Day, observed on April 25, is a significant day in Australia and New Zealand. This year marks the 110th anniversary of the Gallipoli landings in 1915, where the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) fought bravely during World War I. Today, ANZAC Day is a time to remember and honour all servicemen and women who have sacrificed for our countries.

 

The school will be selling ANZAC Day items from Monday 31st March to support our local RSL. There are badges, pens, and wrist bands available, ranging in price from $2 to $10. Students will be able to buy these each morning until the end of term. 

Recorder News 

Combined HPS Recorder Ensembles at Assembly, 31.3.2025

Congratulations to the students who performed ‘Always look on the bright side of life’ at HPS Assembly on 31.3.25. Members of Senior Recorder Ensemble and Ensemble Autumn Tones, joined by special guest piano accompanist Cooper (Grade 6), gave an enjoyable performance, thanks to the time and effort everyone put in to practising the piece at home and together in rehearsals at school. 

We are very grateful to the school for this performance opportunity because playing in front of an audience makes us better musicians – and it’s fun!

Special thanks, too, are due to the parents who were able to be a part of the Monday-morning audience as well as the students and staff who gave appreciative and encouraging feedback.
