Surf Education
Surf Education was an incredible experience organised by Miss Bartos that all students from Years 3,4,5 and 6 had the opportunity to participate in at Manly and Shelly beach. We learned key skills in understanding surf awareness such as the weather, currents, tides and more. We also learnt how to stay safe around rips, as well as surfing safely and calmly through the waves while using surf boards, this was so much fun. Our instructors taught us how to catch and ride the waves safely and successfully. We were shown what to do when stuck in potentially dangerous situations. We were also taken to Shelly beach to learn vital safety skills like how to float and how to approach the waves. We completed fun activities in the surf like running through the waves, learning how to duck under waves and how to body board. This summer we will be able to have fun safely in the surf!

Their knowledge of each student's achievements and goals is outstanding. Reports will be made available to parents on Friday the 8th of December via Compass.
Have a lovely weekend
