CURRICULUM FOCUS

We have been learning about bullying over the last two weeks. We discussed how behaviour can be kind, unkind, or bullying. We talked about how bullying makes people feel, and possibly ways to stop it.  

 

We identified three adults we trust at school to talk to if we are feeling sad or being bullied.


VOCABULARY

Bullying: Deliberate, repetitive and upsetting behaviour by one or more people towards another.

 

Deliberate: Intentional, on purpose,

 

Repeated: Happening again and again.

 


ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Share stories over dinner about times people were kind or unkind to you, and the way it made you feel; or a time you helped someone.

 

Discuss what children can do if they see behaviour they don’t like, and come up with a list of 3 trusted adults in their home life.
