Last day for Year 10 & 11 students
Hello Year 10 & Year 11 students and families,
We want to remind you of the upcoming Year 10 and Year 11 exams scheduled from Wednesday, 8th November to Tuesday, 14th November. It's an exciting time to demonstrate your knowledge and skills, and we are here to support you every step of the way!
Consider the following preparation strategies …
- Organise a Study Schedule: Create a study timetable to manage your time efficiently. Allocate specific time slots for each subject to cover all material.
- Set Realistic Goals: Break down your study goals into manageable tasks. Achieving small milestones can boost your confidence.
- Use Resources Wisely: Utilise textbooks, notes, feedback, and online resources to review the material. Seek help from teachers or tutors if you're unsure about any topic from Semester 2.
- Practice Past Papers: Practice makes better! Attempt past exam papers to get a feel for the format and type of questions you might encounter – have your teachers provide you feedback.
- Stay Healthy: A balanced diet, regular exercise, and adequate sleep are essential for optimal concentration and memory retention.
- Create a Supportive Environment: Minimise distractions and create a quiet, organised study space – the Senior Team can guide you where there are available spaces on school grounds. Additionally, your family can play a vital role in maintaining this environment.
- Mindfulness and Relaxation: Incorporate relaxation techniques like deep breathing and mindfulness exercises to reduce exam-related stress.
- Stay Positive: Believe in yourself and your abilities. Positive self-talk can boost your confidence and reduce anxiety.
- Get Plenty of Rest: Ensure you get a good night's sleep before each exam to feel refreshed and alert on the day.
- Reach Out for Support: If you're feeling overwhelmed or need help with any subject, don't hesitate to seek support from teachers, counsellors, or friends.
Remember, exams are just one part of your academic journey. Stay focused, work hard, and do your best. We believe in your potential, and we're here to support you along the way.
Good luck with your exams! You've got this!
Warm regards,
Ms Lattanzio
