Heroes Day

Indonesia joyfully observes Heroes Day on the 10th of November every year, a special occasion dedicated to honouring the valiant heroes who selflessly fought for the nation’s freedom. On Friday, 10 November 2023, we will host engaging and meaningful activities to celebrate this significant day. It’s a time to pay our respects to those who have paid the way for Indonesia’s independence and reflect on the profound impact of their sacrifices.  The students will showcase their chosen hero through a fashion show and create digital posters inspired by the theme “My Hero, My Inspiration.” 

University Guidance and Career Counselling at SIS Surabaya

Are you an Upper Secondary to Junior College student who is still unsure of the career path to take? Are you a parent who is anxious about the whole university search and application process? At SIS, we measure our success based on the successful placement of our students into the universities that they deserve.

On Monday, 20 November, Mr Jeremias Sampang, Jr. (Group University Guidance Counsellor, SIS Group of Schools) will visit SIS Surabaya and introduce BridgeU to our Upper Secondary & Junior College Students. 

We use BridgeU, a guidance portal that our students will use to research and apply to university destinations worldwide. BridgeU generates recommendations that are personalised to your child’s own strengths and interests. 

In addition, as part of our curriculum here at SIS Surabaya, we have campus counsellors who will explore career opportunities with students and nurture the acquisition of skills that will enable them to make a successful transition to higher education. 

With our career counselling program, students at SIS Surabaya will be able to find the best-fit universities based on their profile to any education destination, locally or abroad.
