Years 5 & 6

In Reading this week our focus was to respond to an event in the text Storm Boy. In two groups they summarised what had happened and planned how they would rescue the stranded boat. The students had to think about the resources they would have available to them as if they were the characters in the story. In small groups, then as a whole class, they acted out their rescue missions. Mr Percival (aka Darcy and Holly) was a key character in the rescue mission - flying the rope out across the ocean to the stranded crew on the tugboat.

In Maths we have been reviewing number patterns and algebra as well as completing our Pat maths test. The class has put in a big effort this week so well done team!
