School and Kindergarten Parents and Friends Association Meeting - Thursday 9th November  

The next PFA meeting will be Thursday 9th November at 9am in the Davey Building Conference Room (school administration building).  Please come along and share your ideas.

Parma/Bingo Night - Wednesday 1st November 

Where :                     North Ballarat Sports Club 

                                    Creswick Road, Ballarat    

 

Time :                         Parma’s at 5.30pm in the North Ballarat Sports Club Bistro

                                     Bingo - Eyes down 7:00pm sharp

 

Bingo Books :           Available to purchase only from the Bingo Centre 

 

Parma:                       $20 includes parma, chips and salad – payable to the school before the                                      night

 

The PFA have arranged a Bingo and Parma Night at the North Ballarat Sports Club.  Vouchers for bingo are available to purchase on the night from the Bingo Centre.  Payment for parma’s are due at the school before the night.

 

Please mark this date in your diary and we hope all families will be able to attend the evening.

SpringFest Online Raffle

SpringFest Market Sunday - 26th November 

WE NEED YOUR HELP! 

 

As beneficiaries of SpringFest Ballarat, Miners Rest Primary School and Kindergarten need to provide the Market Sunday with volunteers.  We are now asking for volunteers to help out on Sunday 26th November from 6am-6pm.

 

Details:

  • Sunday 26th November
  • We will require volunteers from 6am-6pm in shifts 
  • No experience necessary – simply guiding people if they are looking for a particular area/toilet/lost, picking up rubbish/emptying bins

Shifts are:

  • 6am-10am - 8 volunteers required (4 more needed)
  • 10am-2pm - 6 volunteers required (6 more needed)
  • 2pm-6pm - 6 volunteers required (6 more needed)

Second-hand Uniform Shop - Open every Friday from 2.45pm

The PFA will be running the Second-hand Uniform Shop on a weekly basis, every Friday from 2.45pm. All items can be purchased for a gold coin donation.  If you have any uniform items that are in good condition, you are welcome to bring these along to the shop on a Friday afternoon or can be dropped into the school administration office any time.

Cookbooks - Grow, Harvest, Prepare, Share - $5 per book

The Parents and Friends Association have produced a beautiful, full colour cookbook printed on luxurious high quality paper. This great book is sure to last a lifetime, making it a great memento from our school, kindergarten and community of Miners Rest. All recipes featured in the book have been tried and tested.  The cookbook will be selling for $5.

Student Display Books ***Special Discounted Price $10 each***

Through the PFA, we also have Student Display Folders for sale for $10 each. These are great for storing your child's reports, achievement certificates etc. Both the Display Folders and Cookbooks are available from the School General Office. 

School Lunches – Monday and Thursday through Quickcliq.com.au 

Lunches need to be ordered online through the website www.quickcliq.com.au.  Please note: sauce is provided in each classroom.  Some days, not all items are available or sell out quickly.  We recommend to try and order as early as possible, with orders closing at 8.15am on the day of delivery.
