From the

Leadership Team

Term 4 has been action packed and exciting for our college community. In the second half of term 4 we balance the preparations for a new year, while at the same time finishing off the current year strongly. Our Year 12 students are nearing the final stretch of their exam period and are looking forward to their Graduation Assembly and Valedictory Dinner on Tuesday November 21st. Current Year 10s and 11 students will commence exams on Monday November 13th. This is followed up with the Early Commencement Program on Monday November 20th.  For year 10s entering year 11 and year 11s heading into year 12.  This program is compulsory and provides a head start for next year’s subjects our senior students.

The election of the 2024 House Captains has been a rigorous process with thirty-three candidates promoting themselves to become one of 18 House Captains. A written application was followed by shortlisting and candidates were then required to make a two-minute video which was then presented to each of the respective Home Groups. Students in the Homegroups voted to elect their house leaders for their House in 2024.

We are very proud to present the 2024 House Leaders.

Our college community has developed a strong transition program to ensure our current grade 6 students make a smooth and supported start to their secondary education. Building on from successful visits to primary schools, a highly subscribed information night and school tours in semester one; our staff have visited primary schools to meet with the grade 6 teachers and the team supporting our new students. This has provided great insights for knowing our students and making appropriate preparations for 2024. Last week Grade 6 students visited the college to enjoy a Taster program of regular classroom activities to become more accustomed to the college environment and to build confidence prior to the State-wide Orientation Day on Tuesday, December, 12th.

Today our students commemorated Remembrance Day at our college. Our 2024 College Captains hosted a short service in our courtyard that was livestreamed to all classes. The Shepparton Army Cadets performed a catafalque, with the Last Post and Reveille played, to complete a minute of silence across our college.
