Science Report

The start of term 1 has been an exciting term for the Science department at Heathmont College. Year 7s have been getting to know the laboratory and all the safety procedures involved with Science. They have enjoyed creating tea bag rocket and lava lamps. The year 8s have been exploring variables and controls with gummy bears. The year 9s are looking at light and consumer science. Some lucky year 9 classes have made a solar reflector and tested it in class. The year 10s have been busy looking at genetics and chemistry. Science Investigation in year 10 have been creating solar ovens and testing them using marshmallows.
