With the fun of Twilight Sports behind us, P&F turn our minds towards Easter, which is only 3 weeks away!

 

Hot Cross Buns

Our annual Hot Cross Bun fundraiser is still open for another week.  You can find out all the information and place your order here https://www.trybooking.com/CPJWD   

 

Orders close at 8pm on Monday 18 March, and we will not be able to accept late orders, so please put your orders in early.

 

Cake Raffle

A huge thanks to the Abu-Salma family for this week's delicious cake raffle prizes!  This week we raised $40.10.

 

The cake raffle is held every Monday at assembly, with prizes donated by families from across the school.  Tickets are 20c each or 6 for $1, and are available for students to purchase at recess each Monday.  If you are able to help us out by baking or contributing a prize for the raffle one week, the sign-up sheet is now on the P&F board at reception.

 

Easter Raffle

Our annual Easter Raffle will be held at our Family Breakfast at the end of term.  We are now collecting donations of Easter chocolates (boxed or bags), empty baskets, and other Easter goodies such as books, crafts, toys and candles, so if you have anything taking up space from last Easter, or you see a good special at the supermarket, please consider putting some items aside to donate to the school. All contributions are much appreciated!

 

Raffle tickets were sent home this week, and can be returned to school anytime between now and Family Breakfast on March 28.  Simply pop your raffle tickets (with a name and phone number written on the back) and your money in a sealed envelope, and have your child pass this to their teacher on arrival at school.  If you need more raffle tickets, please see Jane at reception.

 

Family Breakfast

All families should also have received a notice about this year's Family Breakfast, which is before school on Thursday March 28.  Please remember to send back your RSVP slips from the bottom of the notice ASAP for us to be able to cater appropriately.  We are also in need of a number of volunteers to help with set up and manning food stations on the day.  If you can help, please sign up at https://volunteersignup.org/XJPQA

 

Twilight Sports BBQ

Twilight Sports might be over and done now, but it's worth another quick shout out to all the amazing helpers who manned the BBQs with me: George M, Tegan M, Wayne D, Lachie M, Andy H, Teresa Z, Mais S, Shereen O, Sarah W, Farzad A, Heidi B, Ash C, and Claire M, as well as Mr Shaw, Steph and Rahima.  This year's BBQ raised $1,933.

 

Secondhand Uniforms

A huge thankyou to Jane and Mary D for manning the secondhand uniform stall at Twilight Sports this year, as well as to everyone who donated secondhand uniforms for us to sell, or made a purchase from the stall.  All the profits from secondhand uniform sales go to P&F and back into the school, so it's amazing to have lots of donations come in and lots of sales go out.  The stall raised $945!

 

P&F Board

The P&F Board has been fully updated for 2024, have you checked it out yet?  We've got a great fundraising tracker up there, lots of information on current and upcoming P&F events, and keep your eyes open over the next few weeks for new information on a range of community groups you can get involved with!.

 

Class Chats and Parent Reps

All class WhatsApp group chats have now been set up, and class reps found for all classes.  Thanks to all who have volunteered for this role this year!  If you haven't received the details on your class chat, please let me know at mprps.pf@gmail.com.

 

P&F Meetings

Our next meeting is Friday 22 March, 9am, in person and on Zoom.  All are welcome to attend and find out what P&F is up to.

 

Event Coordinators

Given the number of fundraising events coming up throughout the year, having event coordinators for each one helps make my job a lot less stressful.  Event coordination differs depending on the event, but generally involves helping with the planning of the event, calling for volunteers or donations, and helping run the event (all with help of course).  The list of events needing coordinators, and the time commitment and required tasks was sent home with the Term 1 information flyer, and is available on the P&F board at reception.  If you have capacity to help me out with any of the events coming up, please let me know.
