Physical Education

Term 1 has been filled with excitement and engagement in a range of physical activities! 

 

Foundation: The Foundation students have had a fun-filled start to the year in PE. Through a range of engaging physical activities, the students have been learning to follow instructions and use the equipment safely. 

 

Grade 1 & 2: We were very proud of the students' efforts in our ‘interacting with others positively’ unitThroughout this unit, students demonstrated positive ways to interact with others fairly and safely. We have also commenced our fundamental movement skills unit of ball bounce, where students have been learning the correct techniques for bouncing basketballs. 

 

Grade 3 & 4: The grade 3 & 4 students have had such a positive start to the year through our unit of ‘inclusiveness and fair play’. We have also had a fun-filled start to our Athletics unit where students have had the opportunity to learn the correct techniques when using a shot put and discus. We are so excited to learn the correct techniques for a crouch start, hurdles and high jump over the coming weeks.

 

Grade 5 & 6 : The grade 5 & 6 students have loved exploring badminton and participating in badminton tournaments. Students also have begun their Athletics unit where students have had the opportunity to learn the correct techniques when using a shot put and discus. We are so excited to learn the correct techniques for a crouch start and high jump over the coming weeks.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Soccer Tournament - 7th March: On Thursday 7th of March we had a number of grade 3,4,5 & 6 students participate in a soccer tournament! We are incredibly proud of the students' efforts, enthusiasm and achievements throughout the day. A big thank you to those parents/carers and families who came to support the students, we loved having you there! A huge CONGRATULATIONS to the Grade 4 boys team who WON THE GRAND FINAL - the dedication and team effort that the boys demonstrated was fantastic! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Round 1 Interschools Sports 8th March: 

 

On Friday the 8th of March, Grade 5 & 6 students had their first round of interschool sports against Coral Park Primary School. Students competed in the sports soccer, Tee Ball, Cricket, Netball and Volleystars. Students gave their best effort and are displaying our school's values and improvements in all sports.
