Assistant Principal 

From Thursday the 29th of February to Friday the 1st of March, our year 7 students embarked on the year 7 orientation camp (see photo below). I had the pleasure of visiting the camp on Thursday. I was great to see the students taking the initiative and getting out of their comfort zone, engaging in exciting activities such as archery, bush hut building, billy cart racing and high ropes courses. Thank you to Nikki Richardson, Samantha Laird, David Cobb for coordinating the event, a well as the wonderful staff that attended and supported our students. And thank you to all those at Camp Toolangi for their efforts in providing such a great opportunity for our students.

School Photos occurred Monday the 4th of March. Thank you for all the students who were prepared and cooperative on the day. Catch up photo’s will be occurring on Tuesday 12th of March. All students have been placed in an event for the day and must ensure that they attend the Drama  Centre during the allocated time to have their catch up photo taken.

Our next major school event will be coming up on Monday the 19th of March, the Annual Discovery Evening. The Discovery Evening will run from 5pm – 8pm and display all the many incredible things that our school and staff offer at LSC. It will be an opportunity to new students and families to gain a glimpse at what students will be complete, participating in and achieving when they attend Lalor Secondary College, as well as ask any questions that may be wondered about the College. This will also be a great opportunity to explore the new buildings and spaces that have arrived in 2024. 

Please be aware NAPLAN will be occurring for our year 7 and year 9 students from Wednesday 13th of March and will conclude by Monday the 25th. Please refer to all communication forward by our college principal for further details. 

A reminder to all parents regarding Compass Pay. Please be aware that consent for excursions and events is required to be given via compass. Parents must be logged in using their log in details to be able to provide consent. Our School Athletics Carnival is coming up at the start of term 2 and it is essential that parents have provided consent for the event as there is no regular school program running on this day.
