Assistant Principal

Year 9 & 10

It’s week 7 already and our Year 9 students will be undertaking NAPLAN from the 13th – 22nd of March. Students will undertake the NAPLAN on their school provided laptop. It is important that students bring their charged device to school so that they can undertake the test. Students who have elected to use their own devices, will be loaned a school device to use for the test.

Students always need fully charged devices and their laptops at school every day. In every lesson all students should have their laptop, a workbook, required stationery, their diary so that they can be ready to learn at all times. Parents and carers will receive a notification from Compass if students are missing resources.

It’s wonderful to see how many of our students are in full school uniform wearing it with pride. We are proud of our uniform and clearly communicate our expectations of this to our entire college community. We regularly check uniform as per our uniform policy.

Nike Air Force 1’s are NOT a uniform item at Lalor Secondary College.

Our uniform policy states ‘Shoes must be conventional black, lace-up leather school shoes (not boots or runners) with a heel and no platforms. (refer to the pictures in this policy).

The policy is provided to every parent/carer and student during the enrolment process. It is also available on our website with pictures of how the uniform is to be worn. If you require support to get the appropriate uniform shoes, please reach out to the relevant year level team who can happily assist.
