School Immunisations

Year 10 students will be having their school-based Immunisation vaccinations in Week 9 this term, on Tuesday 26 March. Year 7 vaccinations will be held next term on Monday, 4 June. 

 

Consent (online or paper form) for your child to have their vaccination at school must be completed no later than Wednesday 20 March

 

Please note the following information from the Department of Health, including the necessary steps to provide consent for your child to be vaccinated in the school-based immunisation program:

  • Immunisation protects your child against vaccine-preventable diseases.
  • Parents, guardians and adolescents can consent for vaccinations via VaccinateWA 
  • If your child misses their vaccine at school, visit your immunisation provider (the vaccine is free, but consultation fees may apply).
  • As of this year, some Community Pharmacists may offer adolescent vaccines at no cost. Please check with your pharmacy. 

Year 10 students are offered:

Meningococcal ACWY (Men ACWY) vaccine: 1 dose

The Men ACWY vaccine protects against 4 strains of meningococcal disease.

Consent:

Consent must be provided by a parent or guardian for their child to receive vaccinations at school. You are encouraged to provide consent online via VaccinateWA.

 For assistance in using VaccinateWA, please email SBIP@health.wa.gov.au or call 9222 2486.

 

If you are not able to access the online system, you can print a copy of the school-based immunisation program consent form. Insert link to form – saved in folder. These forms are also available online   and copies of the form can also be collected from Reception. 

 

Please ensure that the consent is completed by Wednesday 20 March.
