Sophie Bell
Year 8
Shaving off all your hair is no mean feat but Sophie is barely nervous about her commitment in the World’s Greatest Shave.
She remembers like it was yesterday when her Year 5 teacher shaved her head for the World’s Greatest Shave – so she decided to follow suit.
“My teacher did it for a few years in a row, that is part of my inspiration,’’ Sophie said. “I am a bit nervous about shaving my whole head and worried my head might get sunburnt, but one of my friends is doing it too and it is for a good cause, so it will all be ok.’’
Well done, Sophie and the other St George’s Superstars who are shaving their heads or cutting off at least 20cm of locks. We’ll follow your progress and be right behind you on the day!

Ms Susnjar
Music Tutor
One of our superstar guitar tutors has received a grant to travel to San Francisco to the Game Developers Conference for game music composition. Candice Susnjar will attend for a week in March and will be networking and learning about writing music that will complement the game visuals. Watch this space.
Lia Watters
Year 9
Lia competed at the State Athletics Championships last weekend, racing in the U15 Girls division, and came away with GOLD medals in the 3000m and 1500m events and a silver medal in the 800m! Lia achieved personal best times in all three events. These results have secured her selection in the WA State Team, representing WA at the National Track and Field Championships in Adelaide in April. Way to go, Lia! We are all behind you!
