Year Two

The Year Two students have been participating in a variety of learning experiences to tune into our inquiry into ‘Transport systems connect communities’. They have explored the concepts of change and perspective with hands on activities.

Students gained an understanding of what each of the words in our central idea mean by engaging in tasks such as;

  • doing a survey of the different types of transport they see around the school community
  • understanding how systems work by moving an item a certain distance without using their hands
  • interpreting what connection means by creating the longest paper chain and
  • designing and building a community using different building materials.

The students were all engaged and are excited to learn more about the changes in transportation over the years.

They are looking forward to our upcoming incursion from Metro trains on Wednesday 13th March and our transportation excursion on Friday 15th March.
