Principal's News

All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

Good afternoon families and friends,

Another very busy week at St Louis. The Year 6 students spent 3 days in Canberra. It was a busy 3 days with lots of learning experiences as well as a lot of physical activites. a huge thank you to frank, Mrs Stefanec, Mrs Barron, Mrs Burgoyne, Mrs Traynor, Miss Summers and Mr Lithothomas for going with our students. I enjoyed my time in Canberra getting to know the students a little bit more. They are a wonderful group of students,I congratulate them on their behaviour and the respect they showed to all the staff at all the places we visited. Thank you to Mrs Douglas and the Leadership team for holding the fort in my absence.

Congratulations to Mr Wood and Frank on achieving the Oxfam walk again this year. It is a huge effort and one that takes a lot of mental and physical strength.

Congratulations to the St Louis swim team. They competed on Friday and all did their very best in representing themselves and the school. I have been very impressed with the improvement I have seen over the training sessions and this was shown yesterday in the results. Thank you to Mr Andrew for attending all the training sessions and to Mr Lithothomas and Deb for attending the swimming carnival.

We have 10 students going onto the next level. Two relay teams and 4 individuals. A great effort.

Easter Raffle

Our annual Easter Raffle is upon us and we are asking each family to donate an egg to go towards our hamper prizes. Please send your donations to your child's classroom by Wednesday March 20.

Each child will also be given 10 tickets $2 tickets to sell with the hampers being drawn in the last week of Term 1.  Tickets will go home in the next two weeks and are due back by Tuesday 26 March and the raffle will be drawn on Thursday 28 March at our end of term assembly.

Playground Before and After school

Following on from the Operoo sent out last week, the playgrounds in the school are out of bounds before and after school.

Teachers are not on duty therefore, due to OH&S requirements, we cannot have any children, school age or younger on the playgrounds.

I really need your support as the teachers/Leaders do not like to ask children to leave the playground.

School Photo Day

This Tuesday 5 March is school photo day. All students must wear their full summer uniform. If it is your child's PE day then they will need to bring their runners to change into for their lesson.

Prep full time.

This week the prep students start full time school. We look forward to having them at school full time for the next 7 years.

PFA meeting

Tuesday 5 March is our next PFA and all class representatives are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Enjoy your weekend.
