Learning and Teaching
Last year, our staff took the time to unpack Kath Murdoch’s Power of Inquiry. As a staff we discussed the many ways that students can remain curious about their world, asking questions, investigating answers, working through possible solutions and building skills to be life long problem solvers. Through the inquiry approach, our students use a process to help them identify a problem, and then apply thinking skills and research skills to solve it. We are now slowly embedding this process when we are planning for learning so as to cultivate curiosity as well as embedding explicitly taught lessons for our students at all points of need.
This term, we are using the inquiry cycle to unpack our BIG QUESTIONS!
