Meet the Judges 

– House Music 2025 

We’re excited to welcome Blake Lica and Blake Hansen as our guest adjudicators for tomorrow’s House Music Competition! 

Both hold a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Improvisation and a Master of Music (Performance Teaching), and bring a wealth of experience as professional performers and educators.

Blake Lica – Favourite genre: Yacht Rock

Blake Hansen – Favourite genre: Neo Soul Fusion

Together, they’ve performed with bands including Squid Nebula, Bumpy, Tribal Kesh, J.C. Little Big Band, North City, SNAJ, Mick Power Band, Melbourne University Big Band, and Moreland City Band, and have played at festivals such as Big Sounds and Strawberry Fields.
