Hats

A reminder that, in line with our College Sun Protection Policy and College Uniform Guide, students are now required to wear their school hats when outside during recess and lunchtime and for outdoor activities.

Every Old Phone Counts - do you have one?

Our Years 7 and 8 Outdoor Education classes are supporting Zoos Victoria’s Fighting Extinction – They’re Calling on You campaign.

We are asking everyone to bring in old mobile phones, tablets and accessories (chargers, cords, etc.) that you no longer use.

Why? 🦍 Recycling these items helps reduce the need for mining materials that destroy animal habitats, protecting endangered species like gorillas.

Every phone makes a difference:

  • 5 phones = health monitoring of a baby gorilla for a day

  • 10 phones = petrol for vets to reach the forest

  • 50 phones = anaesthetic for an injured gorilla

  • 100 phones = rain gear so vets can work in bad weather

📱 Where to donate: Phones and accessories can be dropped into the collection box at one of the following boxes:

  • The College Office

  • Year 7 Space

If you can, please unlock phones and reset them to factory settings. More information on data security can be found at https://www.zoo.org.au/phone/

Every phone counts – together, we can make a difference! 💚

They're Calling On You | Zoos Victoria

No one knows exactly how many Eastern Lowland Gorillas survive in the wild, but with 8,500 believed to be remaining they are Critically Endangered. The survival of every gorilla counts. You can help gorillas in the wild simply by recycling your phones . Every phone raises funds to support the work of the Gorilla Doctors, who provide life-saving medical care.
