Week 9, Term 3
This week is planning week for teachers, therefore not all classes will be participating in Art lessons.
Prep
Students will complete their plasticine sculptures by painting details onto their bases and constructing their final designs ready for display at the Art show.
Grade 1 and 2
Students will complete their paper plate weaving projects, focusing on tying knots securely and finishing off their designs neatly.
Grade 3/4
Students will begin planning their Australian-inspired mosaic artworks. They will consider composition, colour choices, and the use of shapes to represent iconic imagery in preparation for the creation process.
Grade 5
Students will continue working on their needle-felted reptiles, refining their blending of colours and incorporating background elements. Their focus will be on texture and detail to create a realistic and visually engaging piece.
Grade 6
Students will finalise their street art graffiti fence projects by constructing the panels for display. They will enhance their work with embellishments such as magic clay, artificial leaves, moss, and flowers, adding depth and interest to their installations.

Hooptime
Next week, our Senior Hooptime teams will be competing at Nunawading Stadium. We wish them the very best of luck and are confident they will represent our school with pride.
In the PE Classroom...
Prep, Year 1 & Year 2
Students will be completing any outstanding assessments before finishing the term with a range of fun games. These activities will allow them to apply the skills they have been practising throughout the term, with a strong emphasis on skill development and teamwork.
Year 3, 4, 5 & 6
Students will be taking part in a series of fitness activities, with a focus on High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). They will practise correct technique for both new and familiar exercises, participating in a way that is challenging, engaging, and fun.
This week is planning week for teachers, therefore not all classes will be participating in Performing Art lessons.
For those students who do have performing arts, they will be finishing off learning tasks from the term, such as completing their Matilda reflections for display (Prep, 3-6) and creating a drama based on a picture story book (1-2).
