Book Week Parade

Well done to all students for participating in the Book Week Parade last week! Behind every good costume, is an even better parent or guardian so I extend that praise to you for finding/making/buying/recycling these costumes. Everyone looked fantastic especially sitting together on the hill, it felt like I was really seeing my imagination come to life which truly is the purpose of this event.

I would like to thank those who were able to attend the parade and support students, I gave you all the impromptu task to vote on the 'best costumes' for across grades,  as I knew I wouldn't have been able to decide! This resulted in a few draws which just proves my point of how difficult it was. I can't wait to see what we all come up with next year!

Bowling

We are continuing our bowling practice in preparation for our visit to the bowling alley on September 17th. During Wednesday sport, we had a whole school competition using the scoring system we would expect to see in a real game. Bowling can be hard! There is a lot of technique required to handle and aim the ball correctly (which is heavy!) But practice makes progress and it was great to see all students make improvements in each round.

Many students showed great levels of perseverance when they didn't score in the first few rounds, it is important to not give up especially when we don't get the desired outcome. Instead, they took on feedback about their form and used that to hit the pins on their next turn!
