Foundation - Year 2
Over the past few weeks, our junior students have been busy completing assessments as we get ready for Term 4 learning. It has been wonderful to see the individual growth each child is making.
In our classrooms, we know that learning is a journey and everyone moves at their own pace. What matters most is not comparing our work to others, but celebrating the progress we are each making. The most exciting part is seeing students feel proud of themselves and their achievements. That’s what true learning is all about!
We love a good story in Room 2. Please share in some of the stories that have inspired our writing over the last few weeks.
This inspiring picture storybook follows Penny, a young girl who sees endless possibilities in everyday objects. With creativity and imagination, she turns simple things into incredible inventions, encouraging us all to dream big and think outside the box
This heartwarming story introduces us to Biff and Buff, two tiny dogs who travel everywhere in the big pockets of their owner’s coat. Full of charm and gentle humour, The Pocket Dogs is a delightful tale about friendship, belonging, and the special bond we share with our pets.
This imaginative story reveals what happens when a boy secretly follows his dog one night only to discover his pet has an exciting double life! Funny and full of surprises, The Night I Followed the Dog celebrates curiosity, adventure, and the idea that our pets may be more extraordinary than we think.
