Spotlight on Learning 

Room 1 

To maximise our learning time this term, the children in Room 1 have been looking at our classroom expectations. We began by reviewing the posters we created last term and discussed how the behaviours we aspire to align with our school values.  

We then identified two keyways to demonstrate each of our school values.

Harmony: We can show harmony by being respectful learners and kind.

Courage: We can show courage by trying our best and being problem solvers.

Integrity: We can show integrity by being safe and taking care.

Together, we created a story for harmony and a story for courage, illustrating how we can be respectful learners, be kind, try our best, and solve problems. We read one of these stories each morning, which has positively impacted our classroom environment. Next, we will create a story about how we demonstrate integrity.
