Celebrating First Eucharist Commitment & National Family Week

Year 4 First Eucharist Mass – Sunday 18th May

We are delighted to invite all members of our school and parish community to a very special celebration — the Year 4 First Eucharist Commitment Mass. This sacred occasion will take place on Sunday 18th May at 10:30am at St Joseph’s Parish.

This Commitment Mass marks an important milestone in the faith journey of our Year 4 students as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of the Eucharist for the very first time. During the Mass, each child will make a formal commitment to continue their preparation with reverence and dedication. They will stand before their families, teachers, and parish community to promise that they will open their hearts to grow closer to Jesus and live out His teachings in their daily lives.

The Commitment Mass is a beautiful opportunity for us as a faith-filled community to come together in prayer and support for our young candidates. It is a time to celebrate not only the individual journeys of these students, but also the collective mission of our parish and school to nurture a living and vibrant faith.

We strongly encourage all families, friends, and staff members to attend this Mass if possible. Your presence will mean so much to our Year 4 students as they take this important step in their spiritual formation. If you are unable to be there in person, we kindly ask that you keep the students in your prayers in the weeks ahead.

Family Week

🌟 Thank You for a Wonderful Family Week! 🌟

This week, we celebrated Family Week at school. It was a special time to think about how important our families are and how we can show love and kindness at home.

In class, students read books about different kinds of families and talked about how families care for each other.

Each child brought home a Kindness Challenge Card with simple tasks like saying thank you or helping out without being asked. Every day, students shared their kind actions and how it made them and their family feel. It was a lovely way to see how small acts can make a big difference!

A proud moment as Victoria shared that she had completed all the tasks, proudly highlighting her acts of kindness.
James Stewart (Jimmy) from Prep N made his bed, helped his mum water the herb garden, and prepared a coffee for her.
Alina from Year 3D helping her mum do the dishes.

These acts of love and care are heart-warning to see and form part of our Catholic values—treating everyone with respect, helping others, and working together for the good of all. Thank you for supporting Family Week and helping your child take part in such a meaningful experience!
