IMPORTANT INFORMATION

FOR SACRED HEART FAMILIES

COMMENCEMENT TIME FOR SCHOOL

A friendly reminder that the school gates do not open until 8:30am, so we ask that children do not arrive until that time. If, for any reason, you need to drop off your child earlier, please contact your child's teacher to let them know.

PARENT CALENDAR ON COMPASS

Parents can view the important events happening in our school via the calendar on Compass.

Steps:

  • On the bottom task bar, click on the calendar icon.

  • Select Day or Week in the top right hand corner.

  • Any event permissions, payments due or parent related information will appear on the calendar.

SCHOOL FEES

Just a reminder that the third instalment for School Fees was due on 22nd April 2025. If you have not yet made this payment, please do so at your earliest convenience. The fourth instalment will be due on 22nd May 2025.

It is extremely important that if you have received correspondence regarding overdue school fees instalments, you respond so that the communication channels remain active.

Parents can continue to make regular payments, as all schools have facilities to pay fees by BPAY, EFTPOS, Cash, or Cheque. However, the preferred payment method is BPAY, which has the Biller Code and Reference in the top right-hand corner.

Any questions regarding this new process can be forwarded to Ms Traynor or Mrs Claire Ryan on 02 6743 4656 or email: bogadmin@arm.catholic.edu.au

PLEASE REMEMBER...

Our System of Schools is committed to providing a safe learning environment for all our students and, in particular, to minimising the risk of allergen exposure.

Bus Flashing Lights

School Term 2, 2025

Take extra care from:

28 April to 4 July (inclusive)

Key Messages

Motorists

  • Lights flash on buses to warn motorists that buses are picking up and dropping off children.
  • You must slow down to 40km/h when overtaking or passing a bus displaying flashing lights, unless a lower speed limit applies.

You can help keep children safe by:

  • Sticking to the speed limit and following the road rules in school zones.
  • Slowing down to 40km/h when bus lights are flashing, unless a lower speed limit applies.
  • Looking out for children crossing the road near bus stops, in school zones or along bus routes.
  • Giving way to buses when they merge back into traffic.

Families have an important part to play in keeping children safe around roads.

  • Never drop off or meet your child on the opposite side of the road to the bus stop or call them across the road. Always drop them off or meet them on the same side of the road as the bus stop.
  • Remind your children to always wait until the bus has gone before choosing a safe place to cross the road.

Talk to your children about Stop! Look! Listen! Think! every time they cross the road:

  • Stop one step back from the kerb.
  • Look continuously both ways.
  • Listen for the sounds of approaching traffic.
  • Think whether it is safe to cross and keep checking until safely across.
