Walk Safely to School Day

On Friday 16 May, Fairfield Primary School is encouraging all students and their families to put on their sneakers and walk to school.

Now in its 26th year, this day is the national day to encourage all primary school students to walk to school to promote road safety, health, public transport and the environment.

This national initiative aims to encourage children to lead a healthier, more active lifestyle. The event also promotes reduced car-dependency, greater use of public transport, cleaner air, and road safety to primary school children across Australia.
