Amazing Race

The first activity we did was the Amazing Race. It was so fun, we had to split into groups of 4 and use the clues on the cards to complete each task. My group was so close to finishing because the teachers were helping us with the clues.

Initiatives Course

The first part of the course was to order the group of people from tallest to shortest without talking and we had a time limit of 3 minutes.The group got it on our first try! Straight after that we did something similar but instead we ordered each other in birthday order (from January-December). This time we had 5 minutes but it took our group 3 tries. After that we did steady the ship where you had to balance a seesaw with our whole group on it. One by one, we all got on the seesaw. Once we were all on we got it to balance for around 54 seconds.

Night Walk

The hill on the night walk was super steep and a lot of people fell down while walking in the dark. We walked up and up, got to the top and we saw a beautiful view. We then walked down and down the super steep hill, and took a shortcut back to camp.

Flying Fox

The flying fox was really fun. It was my first time going on a flying fox. If I had the opportunity to go again I absolutely would.

Zip Line

On the second day the first activity I did was the zipline. You had to climb 10m up and go down the zip line. After you went down the zip line you had to bring the rope back to the start.

Climbing Wall

Our first activity was rock climbing. It was really fun because I got to reach the top two times.

Archery

Our very first activity on day 2 was archery. I almost got a bullseye.

Beach Walk

After lunch on the second day we walked through the beautiful bush to the beach. Everyone got to have some free time playing in the sand or chasing waves near the water’s edge before playing some games together. The first game that we all played was called Fox Hole. Both the students and the staff had a great time playing it!

We dug holes because we played a game where we had to hide and if the teachers saw any of us we were out. We also played tug of war with a huge rope.
