Celebrating Mother Figures - VIP Morning

This year, our Walkathon will coincide with celebrating Mother's Day and our ENPS mother figures (which is on Sunday 11th May). We invite our mothers, grandmothers, mother figures and VIPs to join us for the start of our Walkathon until 10am, including a special oval warm up with a Snap Fitness trainer and our very own House Captains!

Entry: Gates will be locked as normal after the bell, VIPs are welcome to walk directly down to the oval after dropping off students at classrooms. The TeamKids gate will open between 8:50 - 9:15am for any latecomers.

* PLEASE NOTE: Parents/carers will not be able to join after 9:15am, as the gates will need to be locked for safety reasons.

Exit: All families will be supported offsite at 10am via the TeamKids gate.

Colour Run (Colour Explosions in Session 5)

For the best vantage point for all of the colourful action in session five, we advise parents/carers to position themselves outside the fence on Gillies Street, Keilor Road or McCulloch Street where the colour explosions will occur. These zones are highlighted in the map below.

For any parents and carers that want to participate in the Colour Run (and get covered in colour powder), we will be opening the TeamKids gate between 2:10 - 2:20pm. These parents will be able to meet their child on the oval, and accompany them through the colour explosions.

Colour Explosions will be active until about 3pm (unless they run out earlier), with all students going to back to their classrooms for a 3:15pm finish.

This colour powder will get on EVERYTHING. We have been told that it washes out of clothing, but we advise that students only wear old clothes (or clothes are not special) as they may never be the same again. Some students have asked if they can bring a white t-shirt for the last session to really embrace the colour, this is also a good option. More info can be found in the above guide.

We strongly suggest walking home from school where possible after the Walkathon, or having a plan to minimise the colour powder getting on cars (or anywhere else important). Having a towel or two to dust off the powder, or sit on, might support a clean exit.

End of Day Sausage Sizzle

At 3:15pm, we'll have some extra fundraising thanks to a sausage sizzle provided by our School Councillors near the Performing Arts Hall, and the sale of handmade items (including bookmarks and jewellery) from a group of Year Five students who were keen to take action to support our school.

Fundraising Information

There is still time to get online and create a profile page for your child. Although prize booklets have been sent home last term, you can access a digital version if needed just CLICK HERE. At the end of the fundraiser, either order prizes to receive, or donate to a cause – Carbon Neutral (tree planting), Great Barrier Reef Foundation (coral planting or turtle protection), The Smith Family (reading support) or OzHarvest (providing meals).

A reminder that fundraising is completely optional. All students will be able to participate on the day of the Walkathon regardless of how much they do or don't raise.

Thanks for your support - the countdown is on and we can't wait!

Kind Regards,

Connor Smith and the ENPS Community Engagement Team
