School Captains' Report

Wominjeka everyone, and welcome to our first newsletter of the term.

We are delighted to see everyone back at school as it’s already Term Two! Here are some things that have happened in Week One and Week Two.

Firstly, we would like to acknowledge the ANZAC soldiers that fought and defended our country with their lives. The meaning of ANZAC in Australia and New Zealand is so significant that all around the country a Dawn Service is always held from 5am to sunrise. Sam got the wonderful opportunity to lay the wreath with his brother, Matthew and Mrs Barletta.

Recently, those of us in Year Six had the opportunity to attend Rosehill Secondary College on Tuesday the 29th of April, for a day of experience of what high school feels like. There were lots of different classes speaking about lots of different things, and also all the students got the opportunity to learn something new! There were also many other schools attending with us, we even saw some of the Year Sevens that attended our school last year!

This week we also hosted our 2025/2026 ENPS Open Day. We presented four separate sessions and tours on Thursday and one session on Friday morning to over 100 prospective parents and carers considering enrolling their child at ENPS for Foundation next year. Well done also to the Year Five and Six tour leaders, who hosted the tours around the school as a part of the session.

Today the Year Sixes had their first round of Interschool Sports! All the Year Sixes have been very excited for this opportunity to play against other schools. This week we were playing away vs St Vincent's Primary School. We know that you all tried your best and good luck to all students who are competing in each round.

As some of you may already know, our very well known crossing supervisor Gordon, has sadly passed away. He always brought positivity to the morning and afternoon. He would always attend school events and bring joy to everyone. He will always be remembered from deep inside our hearts.

We hope everyone has had an amazing first two weeks back! We will see you in Week Three. Finally we would like to wish everyone a great weekend.

We’ll see you next week!

From your School Captains,

Astin, Engy and Sam
