Swimming Lessons

A big thank you to the parents who have offered to help the teachers with the swimming program. Please remember that we do need you to walk with the students to and from the pool. We still have weeks where we have no parent helpers, so if you have some spare time available can you please contact your child’s classroom teacher. We are very grateful for everyone’s support with our swimming program.

The lessons take place at Heather’s Swim School in Main Street, Elliminyt. A big thank you to the parents/guardians who have offered to help, please make sure you are at school 20 minutes before the scheduled lessons. If our office staff do not have a copy of your ‘Working With Children’s Check,’ can you please email a copy to the school via email on office@shcolac.catholic.edu.au

Year 3/4 Gala Day

Well done to all the students who attended the Year 3/4 Football Gala Day at Colac Central Reserve last Thursday. It was a great day of football where the students worked on their football skills with great enthusiasm.

A big thank you to our Year 6 leaders who umpired on the day. They showed great leadership qualities and I was very grateful for their help. Thanks to the parents and grandparents who supported the day.

Colac Division Cross Country

Our Senior school students (Year 4/5/6) have completed their Cross Country event at school. This has taken place in their class PE scheduled time. The top 6 students (all classes were timed) in the age brackets (9/10 years boys/girls, 11 years boys/girls and 12/13 years boys/girls) have qualified to attend the Colac Division Cross Country event this Thursday 8th May at the Colac Golf Club. We wish these students all the best. Students will need to wear their sports uniform, bring along their drink bottle, snacks, fruit and lunch for the day. Students will travel by bus to this event. The bus will leave Sacred Heart at 10:55am and return at 1:40pm.

We do require parents to assist on the day, so if you can help out, can you please indicate on PAM. A reminder to helpers, you must hold a current ‘Working With Children Check’ and the school office has sighted and entered your details.

(Please complete Permission details on PAM for your child regarding this event)
