Last Friday 9/5/25 we commemorated Dolly’s Day. We went BLUE to take a stand against bullying and show our support for those impacted by it.

Together, we went BLUE to:

  • Speak up for those who can’t
  • Spark conversations
  • Raise funds to support families

Thank you to all who supported this day. Dolly’s Dream provides critical support for young people affected by bullying.

Mental Health Supports

  • Social and Emotional Learning in Victorian schools, five core Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) competencies are taught. These are: self-awareness, self-management, responsible decision-making, social awareness, and relationship skills. We aim to foster these competencies so that they reach every student and are integrated into various aspects of their lives, including the classroom, school, family, and community. At Rochester Primary School we cover these through programs such as The 4 R’s and the Resilience Project.

The "4Rs" framework, "Resilience, Rights, Respectful Relationships," helps students by fostering a positive and supportive school environment. This framework aims to build healthy relationships and promote a culture of respect and inclusivity. It promotes emotional literacy, critical thinking skills, and understanding of personal strengths, while also emphasizing positive gender relations and conflict resolution.

The Resilience Project helps students by fostering emotional awareness, promoting positive mental health, and building key life skills like managing stress, strengthening relationships and developing G.E.M. (Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness.)
