Kangourou des maths - Friday 10th March in session 3

As previously mentioned, the competition this year is being held during La semaine de la francophonie on Friday 20th of March in session 3.  This is a 50 minute event.

French teachers will run the competition in their classroom. Please make sure you organised with your team how you are running the event as English teachers can play some maths games in their classrooms with the students who do not participate.

You will find below the link to the participants. I will handover the questions and answer sheets closer to the date as well as the instructions you will need to deliver the event in a consistent manner across the year levels.

I will also meet with each year level's participants this week or early next week to discuss the test-taking tips with them.  

ACTION: Could the Year level coordinator from Y4, Y5 and Y6 let me know which lunch time would suit you and your participating students to have a 15 minute chat this week orearly next week?

Staff Flu vaccinations

Please can you let me know if you would like a flu vaccination this year. 

There may be a possibility of having a covid booster at the same time if you wished. (Please let me know if this is something that would like me to look into further)

Labelling of hand gel bottles

You may have noticed that your hand gel bottles have new big stickers on them. If you have missed any or you have bottles hidden, can you please send them down to me to re label.

Mini Science Week 🥽

Hi Team, 

Due to our busy term and my upcoming maternity leave we are going to squeeze in a Science Week in Week 10, just for Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. It will involve activities before school open to all, including parents, on each day and a lunchtime activity on Tuesday and Wednesday. 

I do not expect you to squeeze in an extra STEM activity into your week unless you really want to (and have the time)! If you do, let me know and I'll organise materials for your lessons. Last years activties are here if you'd like to have a look.

I will also run a Science Expo on the first Friday of Term 2, for the students who are interested in Years 4, 5 & 6. More information on that to come, I will let all classes know as I see them.
