Principal Connections

Harmony Day – Thank You
A big thank you to Elise Dickson, our Foundation C teacher, for leading and organising our wonderful Harmony Day celebrations.
It was fantastic to see our school come together to recognise and celebrate the many cultures that make up our community. Events like this are so important in building understanding, respect, and a strong sense of belonging for all.
A special mention to our Cultural Leaders, who did an amazing job leading us through the parade. They represented our school with pride and truly brought our value of Unity to life, celebrating what makes us different while coming together as one community.
We also loved seeing students engaging so positively and proudly in the day’s activities.
A reminder to families to please send in your family hand representation to share your culture with our school community. We look forward to displaying these and celebrating the diversity that makes Balambalam so special.
Open Afternoons – Celebrating Learning Together
It has been wonderful to welcome so many families into our classrooms during the Open Afternoons this week.
There was a lovely sense of pride and excitement across the school, with students eager to share their learning. It was fantastic to see children confidently showing their work, explaining what they have been learning, and celebrating their achievements with their families.
These moments are so important to strengthen the connection between home and school and give students a real sense of pride in their efforts and progress.
Thank you to all the families who took the time to join us. Your presence makes a big difference and means so much to our students. We look forward to continuing to share our learning with you with open afternoons every term.
School Financial Contributions
We would like to sincerely thank our parent community for your support in making financial contributions to Balambalam Primary School. Your support makes a meaningful difference as we establish our new school.
As a new school, these contributions are especially important. While we do receive the government funding, it does not fully cover the costs of setting up high-quality learning programs, resources, and a safe, engaging environment for all students.
Our School Council carefully considers all costs to ensure fees are kept as affordable as possible for families, while still supporting the needs of our growing school.
Parent contributions help us provide essential learning resources and support key programs, including Literacy and Numeracy, as well as specialist learning areas. They also assist in developing and maintaining our school environment so that it is a welcoming and well-equipped place for every child.
If you have not yet made your contribution, we encourage you to contact the school office. We are happy to support you with full payment or to arrange a payment plan that works for your family.
Thank you for partnering with us as we build a strong foundation for Balambalam Primary School.
Warm regards,
