Swimming Carnival Report
This year’s Swimming Carnival marked an exciting new chapter as our community gathered for the first time at the Koo Wee Rup Pool. The change of venue brought with it a sense of fresh energy and great anticipation, especially around one big question on everyone’s mind: Could anyone take down the mighty MacKillop? The stage was set for a memorable day, and it certainly delivered.
From the moment students arrived, the atmosphere was electric. Sunshine, clear skies, and the inviting blue of the pool created a perfect backdrop for friendly competition. The cheering was constant, enthusiastic, and good natured, reflecting the strong community spirit that defines our college. Behaviour across the day was outstanding. Whether competing, supporting peers, or simply soaking in the experience, students demonstrated respect, encouragement, and pride. It was heartening to see so many students connecting with others across Houses, sharing laughs, celebrating efforts, and building the kind of relationships that make days like this truly special.
On the competitive front, races were tight, and energy was high right until the final whistle. MacKillop once again showed their aquatic dominance, securing first place with 75 points. Glowrey put up a strong challenge, finishing second with 65, while Marian followed closely behind with 55. Augustine (45), Assisi (35), and Romero (25) rounded out the middle places, with Avila and Kolbe tying for seventh on 15 points each. Every House contributed to a spirited competition, and the pride on display was evident.

Finally, the much loved Best Dressed competition brought creativity, colour, and plenty of smiles. This year’s winners; “Sour Patch Lollies” (Minh Tran, Emillia Bassett, Luke Mu, Mary Antoun, Alex Saowapayanon, and Noelle Lloyd); captured the judges’ attention with their vibrant theme.
Honourable mentions went to Alannah Falo, Tanisha Thoresson, and the “Burritos” team (Loveniel Nadan, James MacFarlane, and Yeeuvan Rengha) for their fun and imaginative costumes.
Overall, it was a wonderful day of community, connection, and healthy competition. We look forward to building on this fantastic spirit again next year.
International Women’s Day at the Cranbourne Campus
Last Friday, St Peter’s Cranbourne Campus proudly celebrated International Women’s Day, acknowledging the remarkable contributions, leadership, and strength of the women in our community.
Inspired by Captains Will Cortese, Isaac Clarke and Harrison Hand, our Year 12 boys led a thoughtful initiative during Tutor Group, writing personalised notes of appreciation and delivering chocolates to our Year 12 girls. Their gestures of respect and gratitude created a warm and uplifting start to the day and reflected the supportive culture we continue to foster on campus.
Our male staff also played a special role in the celebrations by hosting a morning tea in honour of our female colleagues and providing each female colleague with a coffee voucher to enjoy in the school canteen. This simple but heartfelt act was a meaningful opportunity to recognise the dedication, professionalism, and care our female staff bring to St Peters every day.
International Women’s Day serves as a reminder of the importance of equity, respect, and opportunity for all. We are proud of the way our students and staff embraced the spirit of the day and strengthened the sense of community that defines our school.
