Mathematics is always fun when we work collaboratively!
Year 5
The students have been learning about the different types of adaptations that living things have to help them survive in their habitats. This week the students learnt about physiological adaptions, such as lung capacity. Did you know that an average human has the lung capacity of approaximately 5 litres, whereas, water based animals, such as a seal, have a lung capacity of 11 litres? Pictured below is an experiment that the student undertook to measure their own lung capacity.
