Celebrating Our Lady Help of Christians Feast Day

It was a beautiful sunny day celebrating the feast day of Australia’s patron saint Our Lady Help of Christians at St Mary’s Cathedral a few weeks ago with Archbishop Anthony Fisher OP leading us in prayer. It was a pleasure taking six of our Year 6 representatives into the city to honour Mary Our Mother. Mrs Clay and I were very proud of you!

Year 6 Parish Confirmation Program

Next week the first sessions of the program begin on Wednesday and Thursday at 5.30pm. I am looking forward to leading a group of students with their parents on Wednesdays. Please contact the Parish office if you have any questions.

Happy Birthday Father Julian!

Last week the staff celebrated Father Julian’s birthday. Father Anderson and Father Zeljko also joined us. We wish you many more birthdays with us Father Julian and we ask God to keep you safe and well. 

Pope Francis Awards Program

Over the next three weeks Year 6 students who have registered for the Pope Francis Awards Program will be earning after school service hours by assisting at the OLF Preschool and Long Daycare Centre. Tasks include light cleaning, tidying, setting up activities and playing with the preschoolers. It doesn’t seem like work when you are having fun with friends! This was Monday’s group enjoying their service hours.

How cute are our Kindy chicks! Last week we prayed for new life in the Church season of ordinary time and visited the chicks in Kindergarten. We saw first hand how chickens are born. Then it was off to visit our resident chooks - Beth, Bob and Snizzle.
