STUDENT OF THE WEEK - CATHOLIC VALUE AWARD
This week our Saint Hero is Pope John XXIII who displayed the value of Serenity. Next week's Saint Hero will be St Frances Xavier Cabrini who displayed the value of Generosity. We encourage you to discuss each Saint and their value with your child/ren, helping them to learn how they can live out our Christian values.
WORLD CHILDREN'S DAY
In his Angelus address last December, Pope Francis announced that the Church will celebrate its first World Children’s Day on May 25-26. This event invites us to reflect on the kind of world we want to pass on to the next generation. Together, we can give them a legacy of hope.
“Like Jesus, we want to put children at the center and care for them,” Pope Francis December 23.
EUCHARIST & CONFIRMATION SACRAMENTAL MASS
Congratulations to all our sacramental candidates who prepared for the sacrament of Eucharist and Confirmation and are now fully initiated as members of the Catholic Church. May they continue to grow in faith and be guided by the Holy Spirit throughout their life. Thank you to Bishop Shane and Fr Minh for officiating the evening, our Grade 3 teachers for preparing the children, support staff taking on various jobs during the service, student volunteers Tom & Liam for being altar servers and Hannah, Lauren, Shay and Shenuki for sharing their choir skills with us all.
