Year 1/2 Learning Community News

We did First Aid training and we learnt how we can save people and doing the DRSABC. We did this so we know what to do if someone is hurt or unconscious on the ground.  We learnt that even if someone has a phone with a passcode, you can just press 'Emergency' and call 000.

In Maths, we have been learning about Subtraction and writing real world problems. We have been using real-life things like counters, unifix and making up problems about food and other things. Mine was about fisherman catching fish! We have been using the split strategy where we start with the bigger number and take away the tens and the ones.  - Miro
