From the Principal

Wow...halfway through Term 2. The weather has changed and the mornings are starting a little colder. Just a reminder to please make sure your child's jumpers are all named, so i they get warm and take them off, leaving them sitting around, we can make sure they are returned.

Last week, we had 21 Year 5/6 students take to the footy field to participate in the Interschool AFL competition. Although they only won 1 game, they had an amazing day and played really well. Thankyou to the parents who assisted on the day. Next week, we will be sending around 20 students to netball.

On Thursday, last week, we had a special filming crew in our school taking some footage of some of our students. This footage will be used for the new online Business for Beaufort campaign. I look forward to seeing some of our budding movie stars once it is completed.

Last Friday, all students took part in an AFL clinic hosted by the Western Bulldogs (Ballarat). Students all enjoyed practising or learning new skills during the drills session. Each student has or will be bringing home a little thankyou bag with some goodies.

Next week, teachers will commence their mid-year assessments. These assessments are used to establish our semester one student results and also track learning for all students. I always look forward to this time of year, as it is a great time to celebrate each child's learning growth.

Over the past 2 weeks we have welcomed 4 new students, and their families, to our school. Welcome again to Taylor, Lucus, Jasmine and Kohbi.
