‘Financial Literacy’ Micro Credential

Year 12 VCE Vocational Major students partook in an introduction to Financial Literacy course this week and are beginning to delve further into broadening their knowledge regarding spending, taxation, superannuation and becoming empowered individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to make informed and responsible financial decisions. Students will now have the opportunity to complete further modules as part of the VCE VM Work Related Skills curriculum and add to their micro credentials as they prepare to leave Parkdale Secondary College.

‘Mock Interviews’ 

On Tuesday 16th, the Year 11 VCE VM took part in a session of mock interviews. These interviews were run by Headstart, MEGT, Holmesglen and BGKLLEN. We very much appreciate all of these organisations for giving their time to support in helping our students develop their employment skills. The students had small group or one on one interviews and needed to provide a resume in the interview. The students were given feedback on their interview and resume. A huge thank you to Caz Jenkins for her organisation of this event.
